365 Days of JACK

One picture a day from JACK-FM's Eddie the Web Guy.

  •
One photo per day for all of 2013. It's like watching your aunt's boring slide show.

  •
    Back to work after vacation.
  •
Look at these two jokers. Nah they're alright. Two important cogs in the JACK-FM wheel house.
  •
    Ned's luck Stan Laurel mini-statue.
  •
I did this most of the day. I spent all week at work on a computer, time at home researching some stuff on a computer, now I am relaxing in front of another screen. What am I doing?
  •
I saw an ad saying this is coming to a local eatery. Mmmm... can't wait.
  •
The JACK-FM team was out at the Chevron ExtraMile in Elk Grove. They were giving these out for free that day! Awesome.
  •
Ned is about to show me something cool on YouTube. Let's watch.
  •
There are many lessons to learn in the workplace. This was probably the most confusing one.
  •
This is why we have no DJs. Thank the mic thief.
  •
The sun isn't out today, nice break. I know this isn't much, but it's Monday...give me a break.

  •
I guess I could have gone with something Cinco de Mayo-ish, but I decided I'd go with recognizing National Comic Book Day. Here's the Comic-Con Program from my trip from last year.

  •
If you're playing along at home, this is the first photo in 365 Days of JACK that has been edited. A friend of mine noticed a local establishment printed "ensured" in two different ways on a sign, just feet apart from each other.
  •
Ned has like 8 computer monitors in this studio.
  •
We had a big corporate meeting. This is me before....eating an apple.
  •
A tip of the cap to May Day - lookit all dem trees.

I forgot to take pictures because this was one...
  •
    ...heck of a weekend.
  •
Hey Look at my new gig! I'm a member of the Today show!
  •
I found this classic prop from the old JACK-FM Cinema Days.
  •
Our first of many autographed mascot 9photos.
  •
Brian from Promotions is actually standing still, it's the camera and the building that are moving.
  •
I betcha these are still good.
  •
    Ned's mad scientist lab.
  •
I originally took this picture of a local radio station with the "for lease" sign out in front of the building, but then I thought I could get into some kind of trouble so I blurred out their logo. After all, it was just a miniature replica of their station, not their actual building.
  •
    Finally, they got this clown.
  •
The opener for The English Beat at Ace of Spades.
  •
Step right up and win some concert tickets! We took that to the capitol later.
  •
Ned helps get ready for the Dave Wakeling interview tomorrow as Brian from Promotions smiles.
  •
Earth day is coming, so I thought I'd snap this pic. It's the view from our conference room aka the table I nap under when it's not in use.
  •
The JACK-FM scene shop isn't as big as it was in the other building.
  •
Today is the one day of the year I watch golf. It's the last day of the Masters. I play JACK over the polite applause though.

Beautiful day to walk around Folsom.

I went to the movie theater. Remember these things Jackheads! I used to love going to arcades.

This is the special at KFC today. Kinda like JACK, they throw whatever they want into the bowl.

Someday are sunny, the next one isn't. Make up your mind spring.

Hey look, Ned and I are over exposed!

Remember that photo of sticks I posted earlier in the year Here it is now. An actual rose garden.

Took a walk in capitol park. I love the monument hidden all over.

  •
I saw this on one JACK-FM salesman's window. I can't make heads or tails of this.

That little speck is our friend the turkey. He just hangs out around the parking lot. He's our mascot.

This pic was actually taken a day earlier. Last night I saw this unfold right in front of me.

  •
Opening day of baseball and Brian from Promotions is watching the Giants. They're losing. I think he needs a hug.
  •
Where Easter dinner sat. I was still hungry. I would have totally been open to a passover seder as well.
  •
I went and checked out George Clinton and Parliament Funkedelic at the Ace of Spades. He's still got it!
  •
I saw this sign on Q Street. What is "Q" short for? Why the period?
  •
I was told it was National Hamburger day. That was bad information, but the hamburger was so good.
  •
There is something very important in this shiny suitcase. You'll know soon enough.
  •
Some how this beer has still survived.
  •
    Looks like spring has sprung.
  •
I went for a walk and passed the old JACK-FM building. Ahhh....those were the days.
  •
This turkey is every where (see March 15th)!
  •
Ned's ready for the weekend. Wait. That's Ned right?
  •
Brian from Promotions walks down the hall of shame, aka, the hall to the backdoor of JACK-FM.
  •
Here's what it looks like looking INTO the JACK-FM studio. Real purty huh?
  •
This is what it looks like from behind the JACK-FM controls. We look into another radio station's studio.
  •
We stopped at The Streets of London for a pint or two (or 12) to celebrate St. Patty's in downtown Sacramento.
  •
I went to John Ascuaga's Nugget in Reno. JACK gave away tickets to the Steven Wright show. Great times!
  •
This ol' bird decided to get out of the sun and hangout near the back door of the building. Thankfully it's not Thanksgiving time.
  •
Brian from Promotions is back from his trip to the Disneyland Resort. Poor guy.
  •
What are the odds? Two of my coworkers got the exact same Disneyland souvenir! It was totally random, they didn't plan it at all.
  •
Brian from Promotions and JACK's sister station's web people are at Disneyland. Me and Ned are the schmucks that got left behind.

    © Eddie the Web Guy / 93.7 JACK-FM
  •
An intern grabbed my camera for this one. I think Brian is probably on Space Mountain right now. He's down in Disneyland securing prizes for you Jackheads.

  •
On these lonely Saturdays the only thing to do is I turn to my iPad for My Kind of Lover. That didn't come out right.

  •
Ned and the new Jacktivities gal working out their first recording session together.
  •
This is my ceiling. I'm moments away from falling asleep. The daylight savings changes always get me. Zzzz....
  •
Ever get one of these in your break room? I found four of these in the JACK-FM break room.
  •
Well, my coworkers are going on a trip to Disneyland next week for a broadcast ontheir radio stations. Unfortunately, I'll be staying back here at my desk to look at this Donald sketch. The good news is we'll be giving away a trip to Disneyland to one of you very soon.
  •
Sometimes you need snacks and some Van Halen to make it through the day. This was one of those days.
  •
I skipped lunch, thankfully the mouth watering Hostess smell isn't wafting over to the JACK-FM studio.
  •
I forgot to take a photo this day. Darned it all! Sorry Jackheads.
  •
Nothing was really going on Saturday. So I decided to wander the streets aimlessly listening to JACK.
  •
Ned still has his "JACK in lights" lights in the studio. It looks like he's finally moving them. (or maybe he's just rearranging them)
  •
The America's Top Model winner stopped by JACK-FM. Our sister station was doing an interview too. She's purdy.
  •
The dark experiment. Brian from Promotions hypothesized that we'd get bugged a lot less in this open floor plan layout, if we didn't turn on the lights. It kinda worked.
  •
There was a gas leak scare at JACK-FM today and we had to evacuate. SPOILER ALERT: The building did not explode leaving million injured.
  •
Here's Ned hard at work in the JACK-FM studio.
  •
Amazing night! I am now on my way home. This drive would be excruciatingly long and uncomfortable if I was hung over.
  •
Just got to Reno. We gave away some tickets to the Adam Carolla show on the JACK-FM website. I decided to make the trip myself.
  •
this is what you get when you put your jacket on top of a promotions prize closet. My sleeve got closed in the closet door.
  •
This is the thing that lets us control the sound. If you break this open all the JACK-FM songs will come oozing out.
  •
Here's the view from inside the JACK-FM vehicle. The whole JACK-TV crewtook the trip up to Alpine Meadows for a little ski instruction. It snowed yesterday, so some wonderful fresh powder is coating the area.
  •
Ned (our production mastermind) came back from his two week trip from Hawaii today! He brought a gift. I hope it doesn't bring with it the same curse the Brady's suffered.
  •
What does a JACK-FM web guy do on a day off from web guying? I eat pancakes at Pancake Circus downtown.
  •
This is the small village at the Scandia mini golf course. I can hear JACK-FM coming from the maroon colored house. I've always wanted to live on a golf course.
  •
I saw this on the gate to an apartment complex today. YES, today.
  •
I passed this place today. Anyone recognize it? It is where me and Brian from Promotions got a flat tire last Cinco de Mayo. [As seen on JACK-TV]
  •
Here's my Valentine's Day photo. The message kind of gets lost. So...uh...Happy Valentine's Day.
  •
An employee from our sister station celebrated a birthday today with this delicious treat. This is the first time in over a year fruit has been on the JACK-FM premises.
  •
Our good friends and sponsor McDonald's dropped off some new McBites. Mmmm, not bad.
  •
Look at my desk. Way too much paper for a web guy!
  •
No I wasn't at the Grammys, but this is a nice shot of my TV.
  •
Boris and Natasha have claimed my neighborhood as their own. Bullwinkle J. Moose where are you?
  •
Sunsets on another week at JACK-FM now time to go home and enjoy an adult soda.
  •
This (traffic) view from the JACK-FM balcony is why I try and leave early everyday...or at least that's what I tell the boss.
  •
I spent almost all day editing a 4 minute video. Video editting is either a lot harder than it looks or I'm not that bright. Maybe both.
  •
It feels like JACK-FM is missing something. Probably because it is. Ned is gone on a Hawaiian vacation for two weeks. Now I have no one to rant and rave with besides you Jackheads.
  •
Brian from Promotions wore his Giants jackets today. The 49ers lost proved too painful for the young fella. Can't say I blame him.
  •
When the lights go out in the.....dome? Sounds like a new Journey song. Oh well, the Niners put up a good fight!
  •
The day before the large game and Pier 39 is showing the Niners some love. Should be interesting to see the Niners do some Raven's stomping tomorrow.
  •
Genny the Prize girl had a small shindig at her place. From left to right: Me, Paul from our sister station, Genny the Prize Girl, Brian from Promotions and down in front the Jaclyn a fellow web person for another station.
  •
Brian from Promotions got a new computer. I was excited because I thought he was actually going to get some work done, then I heard it was just his personal computer.
  •
The JACK-TV crew went up to Sierra at Tahoe so I (Eddie the Web Guy) could get a skiing lesson. I didn't get those picture yet. This picture of our lunch break will have to do for now.
  •
Intern Alberto is sporting his new iHeartRADIO headband. Brian form Promotions and Genny the Prize Girl are swapping track and field stories. This open floor plan isn't an easy place to get work done.
  •
See the snow on them there hills? I'll be heading up there, with the JACK-TV crew, to film my very first skiing lesson.
  •
Here's the JACK-FM Big Game Bingo Card before I put my finishing touches on it. The football all-star game going on today did nothing to boost my inspiration.
  •
365 Days of JACK the inception-edition.
  •
Ned's rockin in the studio. It looks like Genny the Prize Girl is too, but she's just adjusting her mic.
  •
Isaw this in the studio and had to take a picture. Now I know how Ned makes it through the day.
  •
I went to visit the Torch Club for our Bartenders We Heart feature on the JACK-FM website. Brian from Promotions tagged along so he could get a free drink. He like it.
  •
Flexing the ol' noggin! After work I capped the day with trivia at Sacramento's Fox & Goose. Other than a trivia question about The Police I had nothing to add.

  •
I enjoyed this Monday off with a trip to the Sacramento Zoo. Look at this fella. I can use a little "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor right now.
  •
The JACK-TV gang (minus Ned, he doesn't like sports) watched the 49ers secure a place in the Superbowl (being a Bills fan it was fun to watch someone's team succeed). Cue up "We Are the Champions" by Queen.
  •
It's sad to see the capitol rose garden so flowerless. This looks like it would be a cool place to film a video version of JACK's Eerie Tales.
  •
Mascot love! It's a beautiful thing ain't it? The Jackead and US Bank's Red Shield do some promoting together - now in stereo!
  •
The Harlem Globetrotters stopped by the JACK-FM studios. I asked them if they thought I could make the team. They said I might be able to make The Generals basketball team. What a compliment!
  •
I was walking through downtown Sac last night. I was listening to Journey sing "...when the lights go down in the city..." on JACK. I thought, someone should write a song about Sac. Then I thought about buying a Gortex jacket.
  •
I'm finding out Ned even drinks coffee in the late afternoon. I don't think he ever sleeps.
  •
Ever have one of those days where you just need to escape reality with a movie? Well, yesterday at JACK-FM I had one of those days. BTW, The Gangster Squad is pretty good.
  •
On Sunday Eddie ate Lasagna. Hey, they're not all bull's eyes.
  •
Another day of football! Queen's "We Will Rock You" would seem like an appropriate JACK song to play here.
  •
Paying catch up is lonely when you've been off sick for two days. No, I didn't sneak out to Vegas NED!!!
  •
Day 2 of watching JACK-FM from the sicklines. Sick again!

  •
I was out sick from the JACK-FM studios today. Hangin' out with my two buddies.

  •
Genny the Prize Girl works on finding us more Jacktivities to be part of...and laughing at my expense.

  •
Recognize that name? I spent the whole day waiting for the arraignment of comedian, Katt Williams. He never showed. There's now a bench warrant for his arrest. I did get this subpar picture of the case sheet out in front of the courtroom.
  •
I went to Mel's Diner to enjoy some authentic nachos. "Mexican Radio" happened to playing on JACK-FM on the iHeartRadio app.
  •
It was a rough day for my radio co-worker Paul. We were watching the Vikings/Green Bay game...he's from Minnesota. (GB-24 MIN-10)
  •
Here's Ned. He does the production for JACK-FM. Look how cool his guitar is. He has about 50 photos of David Byrne from Talking Heads on this case.

  •
The Jackhead plays golf at one of the offices we visited during JACK's Coffee Break.

  •
Back to work. The first day back at work at JACK-FM. Brian from Promotions is de-surly-ifying with a Red Bull. Ok...let's get started.

  •
Ok, we're not off to a great start with this photo, but after a hearty New Year's Eve celebration this is about as good as it gets.
