Def Leppard's Phil Collen says the band has set February 1st as the start date for their next album. And the rocker tells "Artisan News" he's looking forward to working on the disc.
Phil says band members began discussing the project in November, and were "all excited and buzzy" about the new material. The guitarist admits it's been years since he's seen such enthusiasm in his bandmates, but explains that it's been years since the group has released a new album.
Collen adds that in some ways Def Leppard feels like "a brand new band," because they have "all these ideas" and they're "gonna get together and bash it out."
The upcoming album will be the first full collection of new Def Leppard material since 2008's Songs From The Sparkle Lounge.
