White House Promotes HealthCare.gov Improvements

The White House is promoting improvements in healthcare.gov, the website for new healthcare exchanges.

"With the improvements that were made, we believe that this website is and will function, effectively for the vast majority of users," White House spokesman Jay Carney said.

Carney said about 375,000 users went to healthcare.gov by midday Monday.

Over the weekend, the Obama administration touted a 90% success rate after a tech surge that went on for nearly a month.

The federal website was riddled with glitches when it was launched on Oct. 1.

Carney stressed, "The work is not done" and said special tech teams will continue working to make the site better.
