UN Votes to Destroy Syria's Chemical Weapons

A resolution calling on Syria to dismantle its nuclear weapons arsenal is getting the approval of the UN Security Council.

The 15-member council adopted the resolution in a unanimous vote.

The resolution demands Syria gives up its weapons stockpile and allow full access by chemical weapons experts.

It also paves the way for peace talks on Syria taking place in Geneva. Earlier, President Obama called the agreement  a "potentially huge victory for the international community."
