Southern California Residence Evacuated Due to Wildfire

A wildfire has charred 190 acres of dry brush in the San Gabriel Mountains just above the Los Angeles suburb of Azusa. The fire, which began shortly before 6 p.m. last night, is mostly burning in the Angeles National Forest, away from populated areas. It was 5 percent contained just before midnight. U.S. Forest Service spokesman Robert Brady said residents of three foothill homes closest to the blaze had been advised to evacuate.
