Seized Chickens Need New Home

Several hundred chickens have been seized by Sacramento Animal Control and now officials are looking for good homes for the animals. On Saturday, officers were called to a building on Franklin Boulevard where they found the chickens living in cramped conditions and without proper food or water.

When the officers returned on Monday, they found the owner of the building attempting to move the animals. The owner was detained and the chickens were seized. They are now being housed at the Front Street Animal Shelter where they are available for adoption.
