Sac County Supervisors Ban Outdoor Growing of Marijuana

Sacramento County Supervisors this afternoon voted to ban growing marijuana outdoors.

The move was led by Supervisor Roberta McLashan who told KFBK she got repeated complaints from citizens that pot plants have become a major safety risk in their neighborhoods.

The new restrictions will apply to unincorporated Sacramento County.

The city of Sacramento already bans outdoor cultivation in residential areas.
