Republicans in the State Senate are pushing for the suspensions of Rod Wright and Ron Calderon.
In fact, a trio of GOP members have already tried to expel Wright over his voter fraud convictions, but Democrats in the majority delayed debate on their proposal and kept him on paid leave. So on Monday, the Republicans will move for action again.
"I'm not suggesting that they have to vote like me, but my constituents, all Californians deserve to hear where we stand on the issue," said Republican Joel Anderson of San Diego.
Anderson added that they'll go after Ron Calderon who's been charged with bribery as well. If both make an exit, Democrats would lose their supermajority and lose the power to enact laws without GOP support.
