More Americans think the Afghanistan war was a mistake than ever before. A Gallup survey released today shows 49 percent believe the U.S. erred when troops were sent into Afghanistan in 2001. Forty-eight percent say it was the right move. Opinions fall strongly along party lines, with 59 percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaners saying the war was a mistake. A little over one-third of Republicans and Republican-leaners feel the same way. U.S. troops are scheduled to be out of Afghanistan at the end of the year.
