Placerville Women's Deaths Ruled as Murder-Suicide

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Department has determined that the deaths of two Placerville women whose bodies were found in a burned out home were the result of murder suicide.

The fire occurred during the early morning hours of March 7.

The bodies of 62-year-old Carol Hague and 58-year-old Crystal Ann Ward were found in the master bedroom.

Investigators say that Ward shot Hague in the head and then used a number of flammable liquids to set the home on fire.

That's when investigators say Ward turned the gun on herself.
