New 'Star Wars' Movie To Pick Up 30 Years After 'Jedi'

The Walt Disney Company is leaking a few details about the next "Star Wars" movie.

Disney and Lucasfilm announced Tuesday that the first film in the next trilogy will be set 30 years after the Rebellion defeated the Galactic Empire in "Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi."

Rumors have been circulating about the possible return of original "Star Wars" cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill.

But names like Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o and Jesse Plemons of "Breaking Bad" fame have also been floating around as possible new cast additions.

The only confirmed character returning for the new movie is droid favorite and "Star Wars" mainstay R2-D2.
