Loaves and Fishes Has Plans For Friendship Park

Loaves and Fishes is looking to move Sacramento's homeless population out of Friendship Park and into a possible park that could be built on land owned by the non-profit.

"This is absolutely a great opportunity for us at Loaves and Fishes to provide a larger space for our homeless guests to be during the day, where they can access services," said Executive Director Sister Libby Fernandez.

"They can better access the dining room, our wash house with showers for men, our library for our homeless guests.  Our mental health, our housing resources, " Fernandez continued, saying it also provides better access for the 600 to the 800 homeless served at Loaves and Fishes per day to services from outside non-proffits.
