Health Officials: First U.S. MERS Case No Cause For Alarm

America's first confirmed MERS patient is in stable condition at an Indiana hospital.

Federal health officials say while the disease can be deadly, the case in Indiana poses a very low risk to the public.

It involves one health care worker who was diagnosed after showing symptoms of the illness after returning from a trip to Saudi Arabia.

The patient is in isolation at Community Hospital in Munster.
