Community College District to Stop Investing in Fossil Fuel Companies

A community college district in Northern California has promised to sell its stock in fossil fuel companies, joining a small but growing divestment campaign organized by students around the country. The district includes four schools - Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College and Merritt College - that enroll about 30,000 people.
