Three fires broke out in the afternoon hours on different sides of the county.
The Loomis Fire is contained at between two and five acres.
The Fifty Fire has blacked over 153 acres and is now contained it was fought by units from Sac Metro and Eldorado County. Water dropping helicopters worked the flames up there.
The fire shut down residential roads for a short time. As for the Jackson Fire off Jackson Highway and Excelsior is not threatening any homes.
But Sac Metro is not taking any chances they are pouring men and equipment into the area to keep the flames from getting away.

A fire burning on the Sacramento/El Dorado county line is sending a lot of smoke across the valley and causing concern among people headed home this afternoon.
CalFire's Dennis Matheson reports the fire is 40-to-45 acres in size and is right now 30 percent contained.
The fire is being fought by units from Sac Metro and El Dorado County. Water dropping helicopters are also said to be working the fire.
There is no word on what started the fire. Watch out for smoke drifting across roadways which may cause drivers put on their brakes.
Traffic is controlled in the area of the fire, but so far is not affecting traffic on Highway 50.
There's smoke in the sky above Folsom and El Dorado Hills right now.
It's due to grass fires burning along Highway 50 near East Bidwell Street. So far, the fire is at about ten acres.
But because of the dry brush, firefighters from Folsom, Sac Metro Fire District, El Dorado Hills and Cal Fire are battlikng the blaze.
