Study Finds 1 in 6 CA Children Have Undocumented Parent

The research, out of the USC Center for the Study of Immigration Integration finds that the state has 2.6 million residents who are in the country illegally.

This means that any immigration reform decided on by Congress would heavily impact our state, which has about a quarter of the nation's undocumented population. The study also found that California's illegal immigrants have $31.5 billion in income, but individually earn less than half of U.S.-born workers.
