Sacramento's Flood Protection Projects Receive Boost

Sacramento's flood protection projects are getting a boost. The Army Corps of Engineers annual work plan will be providing $115 million, most of which will go toward continued construction on the Folsom Dam. The rest will provide levee work along the American River Watershed, including improvements in Natomas. Flood protection will also be improved near streams in South Sacramento. The funding is $17 million more than what President Obama requested in his yearly budget.
