Obama Encouraged by Court's Decision

President Obama is encouraged by the Supreme Court's decision to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act. Mr. Obama called DOMA "discrimination enshrined in law" and said the "country is better off without it." The President has directed Attorney General Eric Holder to work with Cabinet members to review all relevant federal statues to ensure this decision is "implemented swiftly and smoothly."
