KFBK's Tom Sullivan Weighs in on the Asiana Airlines Crash at SFO

Korean pilots are trained differently than most pilots. But did that hands off approach cause the crash that left two people dead?

KFBK'S  Tom Sullivan is a pilot who has flown in and out of San Francisco a number of times. Sullivan said if Saturday's crash was caused by pilot error, it may be because of the training Korean pilots get.

"In most planes, most airlines, if I see something you're doing wrong, I say something. But in the Korean culture, it was inappropriate to do that, and so they never said anything to the captain, even though the captain was making a mistake -- that's the idea of crew resource management..."

He says if the pilot-in-training was too low upon approach, another pilot should have told him, and he should have made the adjustment.
