Study finds big risks in "Cinnamon Challenge"

Study finds big risks in

(Cleveland, OH)  --  A new study finds a popular dare is risky and could have long-term effects on your health.  "The Cinnamon Challenge" dares people to eat a spoonful of ground cinnamon in under 60 seconds without drinking anything.  Doctors at the Cleveland Clinic say you could end up with lung problems because you inhale, rather than swallow the cinnamon.  Gagging is also a big concern.  University of Miami researchers found more than 30 kids had to be treated after taking the challenge and nearly 200 calls were made to U.S. Poison Control Centers last year related to the stunt.

The study is published in the journal "Pediatrics."
